
The Santa Clara Sporting Club Mens Team competes in the California Premier Soccer Association.
In 2006, they won their fourth league championship. The Santa Clara Sporting Mens Tteam is made from a group of players who once competed for the Santa Clara Sporting Club when they were youth soccer players from the age of 10 to 19 and of other local amateur players. The team competes in the California Premier Soccer Alliance (CPSA); a league founded in 1993 as a colaboration of all the various leagues associated with the California Soccer Association North (CSAN) based in San Francisco, and is made up of the top 16 amateur teams from northern California. The mens team has also won the State Amateur title numerous times as well as numerous California Soccer Association North Amateur titles. It has won the Far West Regional Amatuer title 4 times and competed at the national finals 4 times, coming in second in the nation in 2000.
The team has been coached by Luis Azevedo for the last 8 years.
