The three Santa Clara Sporting ’98 Boys teams - players, coaches and families - joined together on December 6th to celebrate another successful soccer season. The goals for the event were to enjoy a delicious potluck feast, have a little fun, and to share with our community members who are in need.
During this season of Thanksgiving and sharing, the three teams showed their true colors, whether they be white, black or green. All three ’98 Boys Teams participated in a potluck dinner hosted at the Sporting Clubhouse, and a raffle drawing was held (1 ticket for each can of food donated to the "Second Harvest Food Bank", 5 tickets for a new jacket donated to "One Warm Coat", and 10 tickets for a new toy donated to "Toys for Tots."
The receptacles were spilling over with canned and boxed goods, gently-worn coats, and holiday gifts for the children in our community.
It was an extremely fun evening, and we appreciate the outpouring of support of everyone who participated during this time of need.
