All Santa Clara Sporting Teams play under the Santa Clara Youth Soccer League, and ALL players trying-out must have proper insurance coverage. If a player trying-out for a team is currently registered with anther CYSA Team during the current playing season, that player has proper CYSA insurance coverage. However, if the player is not currently registered with a CYSA Team, the coach is responsible to have the player and parent sign the CYSA Form 1601 – and write “Tryout” on the top of the form. Download CYSA Form 1601 and bring to the tryout.

Santa Clara Sporting ’03 U9
Santa Clara Sporting is forming a new Competitive level u8 girls team. We are looking for highly skilled player and good athletes that are interested in playing soccer at the competitive level. Players for the team need to have been born after August 1st 2003. Tryouts for the team will be held on Saturday the 21st of January from 9am to 10:30am, Friday the 27 th of January from 4pm to 5:30pm and Saturday the 28th of January from 9am to 10:30am. All tryouts will be at Curtis Field, 890 Pomeroy Ave, Santa Clara. The team will be a year round competitive soccer team that will be coached by a professional coach (John Slegg) who has years of experience working with high level teams and has coached several players that have gone on to play at the college level. Santa Clara Sporting ’02 Green and White Teams U10
The Santa Clara Sporting 2002 girls Green team currently plays in the highest CCSL division. Players must be born after July 31st 2002.
Santa Clara Sporting 2003 Girls Team Tryouts. The team is currently one of the best 2002 team in the whole of the Bay Area and has a very bright future ahead of it. The team is coached by full time professional coach John Slegg. Coach John runs the team with the player’s longer term development as his main focus. At this young age coach John feels that improving players individual skills is the most important area of development. The team is looking for players that are dedicated and focused on soccer and interested in playing soccer at the highest level.
- The Santa Clara Sporting ’02 girls Green team currently plays in the highest CCSL division.
- The Santa Clara Sporting ’02 girls White team is currently playing in the Copper CCSL division. - The White team is a newly formed team that will play in the CCSL Fall division. It is hoped that the team will be playing in the second division of CCSL. The White team will be coached by full time professional coach John Slegg and Zack Pereira. The team will practice along side its sister team the Santa Clara Sporting 03 Girls Green team.
The two team will be trained using the same coaching philosophies and techniques in order to help create a cohesion between the two team. The team is looking for enthusiastic soccer players that have a love of soccer and a desire to improve and develop as a player. Players must be born after July 31st 2003.
